The MYBA Charter Show 2025 is the premier industry-only event for the luxury charter market. Scheduled each spring, the MYBA boat show serves as the charter season’s unofficial opening ceremony – bringing the great and the good from across the industry to the Mediterranean where they can share ideas and expertise on all aspects of the luxury charter scene before the season gets underway.

Bringing together the yachting world’s top brokers, yacht managers and service providers, the MYBA charter show offers unparalleled networking opportunities that you can’t afford to miss.

MYBA Charter Show 2025: What to Expect

Launched in 1990 and managed by MYBA, The World Yachting Association, since 2001, the MYBA yacht show is an event designed to bring together the entire charter yacht industry to support, inspire and empower each other to become the very best they can be.

Since its inception, the MYBA yacht charter show has aged beautifully to become an event that everyone across the industry, from brokers to charter managers, look forward to each year, with a high calibre of yachts on display and fruitful networking opportunities at every corner.

Though the venue for the show changes each year, the 2025 edition of the MYBA Yacht Show will see it return to Portosole Marina in Italy’s Sanremo, where it all began 35 years ago, in celebration of the longstanding show that has become a mainstay of the marine calendar.

As well as seeing over 80 superb yachts on display, ranging from 20 to 90 metres in length, visitors to the MYBA boat show will be able to watch or even compete in a range of fun competitions.

The annual Superyacht Chef’s Competition will this year be joined by a tablescaping competition set around the theme of jade – in honour of the MYBA show’s 35th anniversary – while the All Hands on Deck competition aims to test the mettle of some of the industry’s best yacht crews. There will also be a number of useful workshops and seminars throughout the five-day MYBA show and lots of social events where guests can connect with other industry insiders.

As the association that has transformed charter yacht contracts through its industry respected MYBA Sales & Purchase Agreement (MoA) and the MYBA Charter Agreement, MYBA’s name gives the show an air of authority that is conducive to business development.

The organisation also owns the groundbreaking YACHTFOLIO online tool that has streamlined the charter-booking process and so innovation will be at the forefront of people’s minds throughout the show.

Edmiston’s Presence at the MYBA Yacht Show 2025

Edmiston will be out in force at the 2025 MYBA Charter show, with a long list of brokers in attendance, including Michaela Beitz Biggi, our Head of Charter and Virginia Putignani, Charter Fleet Manager.

As well as having a number of brokers on the ground to discuss our luxury charter fleet (including charter yachts in Italy), facilitate meetings with industry professionals, and to foster new partnerships and opportunities, Edmiston will also be bringing a couple of our sensational charter yachts to the show.

First up is the vintage beauty that is MALAHNE, the 50m 1930s yacht that once hosted Hollywood royalty such as Elizabeth Taylor and Frank Sinatra and whose 30-month Art Deco restoration, completed in 2015 at Pendennis was overseen by Edmiston.

Today MALAHNE combines old-school glamour with modern capabilities and is quite unlike any other charter yacht on the market and without a doubt one of the classiest charter yachts in the Mediterranean.

Another of Edmiston’s charter yachts to be gracing the pontoons at this year’s MBYA yacht charter show is MAC ONE, a 33m motor yacht from Feretti who saw her interiors refreshed in 2023 and has numerous outdoor areas to enjoy – perfect for a Mediterranean yacht charter holiday.

The Luxury Yacht Charter Market Forecast for 2025

MYBA has long been keen to promote sustainable practices across the yachting industry, so at this year’s show guests can expect to see a growing emphasis on eco-friendly solutions, with yachts incorporating green technologies and sustainable materials.

Charter trends for the year ahead are also expected to be high on the agenda, with brokers outlining their approach to wellness-focused charters in response to a growing trend among guests for wellness amenities such as spas, fitness centres, and health-oriented cuisine at this year’s MYBA boat show.

Seminars and conversations at the show are also expected to touch upon expanding destinations as clients look to travel to lesser-explored regions, expanding the traditional yachting map, as well as ultra personalised itineraries for truly unique experiences.

Edmiston’s brokers will be happy to discuss some of the emerging yacht destinations its charters take guests to in addition to luxury yacht charters in the Mediterranean, from its increasingly popular itineraries in the Indian Ocean, which include Seychelles yacht charters, luxury yacht charters in the Maldives and options for chartering yachts in Mauritius – often described as the jewel of the Indian Ocean.

Other destinations that look to rival private yacht charters in the Mediterranean include South-East Asia, with Thailand yacht charters and yacht charters in Indonesia of particular interest.

And, while the charter yacht industry has long focused its attentions on hot destinations, Edmiston’s charter teams have noticed a shift towards cold cruising among some of our clients and will happily share its wisdom on taking guests on Antarctica yacht charters. It can also compare notes with other brokers and charter yacht insiders on other untapped charter destinations, such as Greenland, and expand on why we think Norway yacht charters are about to take off in a big way.
