The 65th edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2024 (FLIBS) will be held in its namesake city on the southeast Florida coast from 30 October to 3 November 2024, and as the largest on-the water boat show on the planet, it is a highlight of the yachting calendar and reflects the region’s affinity for the boating lifestyle.

Run by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF), the Fort Lauderdale boat show 2024 will feature an estimated 1,300 boats, with 1,000 exhibiting brands, and have a global economic impact of over $1.79bn.

The FLIBS yacht show is expected to attract over 100,000 visitors across its five days, who will come to browse its enormous 3 million square feet of exhibition space spread across seven sites. This includes the Broward County Convention Center, the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, Las Olas Marina, 17th Street Yacht Basin, Pier 66 Marina, the Hall of Fame Marina, and of course, the most premium area of all: the Superyacht Village at Pier 66 South, where over 200 superyachts from 100ft to 236ft will be on display.

What’s new at FLIBS 2024?

The Fort Lauderdale Boat Show 2024 plans to set new standards of sustainability in the yacht show sphere. It’s on target to become a zero-waste, net-zero carbon business by 2030 and its brand-new Las Olas Marina, which is Clean and Resilient Marina Program-certified, has been designed in such a way that it will help protect the Fort Lauderdale area from rising sea levels.

This new part of the Fort Lauderdale boat show will also provide more berths for superyachts, create a waterfront destination for yacht-show visitors thanks to its high-end restaurants and boutiques, and bring over 1,000 new jobs to the local community.

Visitors can also show their dedication to fostering a thriving ocean environment by donating to the show’s official community partner, the Water Revolution Foundation (WRF), when they buy their tickets for FLIBS 2024. Through its Important Marine Mammals Area (IMMA) programme, the WRF aims to identify and protect areas that are crucial for supporting marine life.

Fort Lauderdale Concours

Aside from the new multi-million dollar marina complex, many VIP experiences will be hosted throughout FLIBS 2024, including the Fort Lauderdale Concours, which takes place within the Superyacht Village on 1 November from 6pm to 10pm, and will include a showcase of iconic and rare classic cars, accompanied by music, cocktails and canapes.
